Subiaco
Subiaco sits west of the city and is one of Perth’s best known inner suburbs, with a long established main street and a deep stock of character housing.
The housing
Federation and character houses on tree lined streets, many carefully restored, alongside apartments and townhouses closer to the station and the main roads. It draws families, professionals and downsizers in roughly equal measure.
Rokeby Road
Rokeby Road and Hay Street carry the cafes, restaurants, boutiques and services, and give Subiaco a main street that people travel to rather than simply pass through.
Open space
Kings Park is on the eastern boundary, and the suburb has a good spread of local parks and reserves of its own.
Getting around
Subiaco station is on the Fremantle line, a short run into the city, and bus routes cover the rest.
