Perth
The suburb of Perth is the city itself, postcode 6000. It is where apartment living in Western Australia is at its most connected, and it has changed a great deal over the past decade as the riverfront and the cultural precincts have been rebuilt.

Elizabeth Quay and the Swan River foreshore, Yagan Square, the Perth Cultural Centre and the Northbridge entertainment precinct, the Hay Street and Murray Street shopping malls, and the St Georges Terrace business district. Kings Park and Botanic Garden sits on the western edge, which gives city residents one of the largest inner city parks in the world.
Getting around
Every Transperth train line converges on Perth station, the bus network radiates from the city, and the free CAT bus services loop the centre. For a lot of residents here, a car is optional.
