Highgate
Highgate is a small inner suburb immediately north east of the Perth CBD, tucked between Northbridge and Mount Lawley. Its size is part of the appeal, because almost everything in it is within a few hundred metres of everything else.
Hyde Park
Hyde Park is the centrepiece, with its two lakes, mature Moreton Bay figs and wide lawns. It is one of the most recognisable parks in Perth and it lifts every street around it.
The housing
Federation and character cottages sit alongside apartments and townhouses, with a good number of well restored period houses on the quieter streets. Blocks tend to be compact, which suits buyers who want inner city living without a garden to manage.
Getting around
Beaufort Street runs through the suburb with frequent buses into the city, and the CBD is close enough that many residents walk it.
