Dalkeith

Dalkeith sits on a bend of the Swan River west of the city, next to Nedlands. It is one of Western Australia’s most established prestige addresses.

The housing

Large houses on generous blocks, many of them architect designed and a good number with river frontage or river views. There is also a smaller supply of apartments and townhouses, which is where downsizers within the suburb tend to move.

The river

The suburb wraps around the river with foreshore reserves, jetties, sailing and long walking paths. Point Resolution and the surrounding parkland are among the best public open space on the river.

Waratah Avenue

Waratah Avenue is the village centre, with a handful of cafes, a deli and local services.

Getting around

Stirling Highway is close for the run into the city or down to Fremantle.
