Crawley
Crawley sits on the Swan River immediately west of the city, between Kings Park and Nedlands. It is best known as the home of the University of Western Australia.
The housing
A mix of apartments, older flats and a small number of substantial houses. Much of the buying and renting activity is tied to the university and the nearby hospitals, which gives the suburb steady tenant demand.
The river and Kings Park
Matilda Bay and the foreshore reserve run along the suburb, with lawns, jetties and the sailing clubs, and Kings Park sits immediately to the east.
The university
The University of Western Australia occupies a large part of the suburb, and its grounds and heritage buildings are among the most attractive in Perth.
Getting around
Stirling Highway and Mounts Bay Road run along either side of the suburb, and the city is a short drive or bus ride east.
