Beckenham sits south east of the city between Cannington and Gosnells. It is a quiet established suburb with good open space and its own railway station.
The housing
Post war and later houses on generous blocks, with newer townhouses and villas appearing as land is developed. It is one of the more accessible suburbs with direct rail access to the city.
Parks and the river
Mills Park is the major open space, with sporting facilities and playgrounds, and the Canning River and its reserves run nearby.
Getting around
Beckenham station is on the Armadale line with direct services into the city, and Albany Highway and Roe Highway are close.
