Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we give it to and what you can do about it. It covers two separate businesses that operate from the same office at 338 Beaufort Street, Perth WA 6000:

  • KPR Perth Pty Ltd, trading as Key Performance Real Estate, ACN 626 527 928, ABN 84 626 527 928, which handles residential sales.
  • KPR Property Management Pty Ltd, trading as KPR Property Management, ACN 632 051 720, ABN 23 632 051 720, which handles residential property management.

The two companies keep their records separately. Where this policy says “we”, it means whichever of those businesses you are dealing with. If you are unsure which one holds your information, ask us and we will tell you.

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect, and when

If you are selling or buying a property

Your name, address, email address and phone number. Details of the property, including the title, the strata documents, rates and levies. What you tell us about your circumstances and what you are looking for. Records of inspections, enquiries, offers and correspondence. Where an offer is made, the information required to prepare and complete the contract, which is passed to the settlement agents acting for each side.

We also record buyer requirements so we can match people to properties. If you enquire about a property or attend a home open, we will add your details to our buyer database and send you properties that fit what you asked for. You can be removed from that list at any time by replying to any email or telling us.

If you are a landlord, a tenant or an applicant

For owners: your contact details, ownership and title details, bank account details for payment of rent, and records of maintenance, inspections, statements and invoices. For tenants and applicants: the information on your tenancy application, identification, rental and employment history, references, and records of rent, inspections, maintenance requests and correspondence during the tenancy.

If you are verifying your identity

From 1 July 2026, real estate agencies are reporting entities under Australia’s anti money laundering and counter terrorism financing laws, which means our clients have to be identified before we act. We use First AML to carry out that verification. You provide your identity documents, such as a driver licence or passport, to First AML rather than to us, and they hold them. Where a property is owned through a company or a trust, they will also verify the people behind it. We receive and keep the record that the verification was completed, because the law requires us to keep it, and we are not permitted to delete that record on request while the obligation applies. There is more detail in our article on the checks.

If you use this website

The information you type into a form, and technical information collected automatically, which is covered under website analytics and advertising below.

How we use it

To appraise, market and sell property. To prepare and progress contracts through to settlement. To manage tenancies, collect and disburse rent, arrange maintenance and carry out inspections. To match buyers to properties and tenants to rentals. To send you information you have asked for, including our weekly buyer email. To meet our obligations under the Real Estate and Business Agents Act, the Residential Tenancies Act, the Strata Titles Act, the anti money laundering laws and the tax law. To improve our website and measure our advertising.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Who we give it to

We give personal information to others only where it is needed to do the job you have engaged us for, or where the law requires it. Depending on the matter, that can include:

  • the settlement agent or lawyer acting on a sale or purchase
  • the other party’s agent or representative in a transaction
  • the strata company or strata manager for the scheme
  • tradespeople and contractors attending a property, who are given what they need to do the work
  • the landlord, where you are a tenant, and the tenant, where you are a landlord, to the extent the tenancy requires
  • tenancy databases, where the law permits and only in the circumstances the Residential Tenancies Act allows
  • advertising portals such as realestate.com.au, domain.com.au and reiwa.com.au, for property marketing
  • our software providers, who store information on our behalf, including our sales and property management systems, our email and document systems, our accounting system and our website host
  • First AML, who carry out identity verification for anti money laundering purposes
  • government agencies and regulators where we are required to report or respond, including AUSTRAC, Landgate, the Office of State Revenue and the Australian Taxation Office

Some of these providers store information on servers outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect it to the standard the Australian Privacy Principles require.

Website analytics and advertising

This website uses Google Analytics 4 and the Meta pixel. Both set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser when you visit.

What they record: the pages you view, links you click, how far you scroll, files you download and forms you submit, together with technical information such as your approximate location, device type, browser and the website or advertisement you arrived from.

Who receives it: Google LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. Both process this information on servers outside Australia. If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, Meta may match your activity on this website to that account.

Why we use it: to understand which pages are useful, to measure whether our advertising is working, and to show advertising for our properties and services to people who have visited this website or who resemble those visitors.

Contact details used for advertising: we may provide contact details we already hold, such as an email address, to Meta or Google in an encrypted form so that our advertising can be shown to those people, or to people with similar interests. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not provide it to these platforms in a form that identifies you to other advertisers.

Your choices:

  • Install Google’s browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
  • Control the advertising you are shown in your Facebook and Instagram ad preferences.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which stops most of this collection.
  • Reply to any of our emails to be removed from our mailing lists.

Using these opt outs will not stop you using this website and will not affect any service we provide to you.

Keeping it, and keeping it safe

We store information in secure systems with access limited to the people in our office who need it. We keep records for as long as we need them for the purpose we collected them, and for as long as the law requires afterwards. Real estate, trust account, tenancy and anti money laundering records all carry their own minimum retention periods, and those override any request to delete. When information is no longer needed and no longer required to be kept, we destroy it or de-identify it.

If we become aware of a data breach that is likely to cause serious harm, we will act on it and notify the people affected and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where the law requires.

Seeing what we hold, and correcting it

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct anything that is wrong. Email [email protected] or call 08 6385 6800. We will respond within a reasonable time and we do not charge for reasonable requests. In limited circumstances the law allows us to refuse access, and if that happens we will tell you why in writing.

If you are not happy

Tell us first. Email [email protected] with the details and we will look into it and come back to you. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can take the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when what we do changes. The current version is always the one on this page.
