Leederville sits just north west of the city in the City of Vincent, between the Mitchell Freeway and Loftus Street. It is best known for its Oxford Street town centre and its restaurants, bars and picture theatre.

A mix of character houses from the turn of the last century, townhouses and villas on subdivided blocks, and apartments closer to the town centre. Houses, townhouses and apartments are all well represented, so buyers at very different budgets end up looking here.
Oxford Street
Oxford Street and the western end of Newcastle Street carry the restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, along with Luna Leederville, a picture theatre since 1927. The City of Vincent adopted a new place plan for the town centre in December 2025.
Parks and open space
Leederville Oval and Oxford Street Reserve are in the suburb, and Galup (Lake Monger) sits immediately to the west.
Getting around
Leederville Station is on the Yanchep Line, a short run from the city, and the Mitchell Freeway runs along the suburb’s western edge.
Education
Aranmore Catholic Primary School and Aranmore Catholic College are in the suburb, along with a campus of North Metropolitan TAFE.
What is coming
The City of Vincent is working with developer H-U to redevelop the Frame Court and The Avenue car parks, with a new multi storey public car park, offices and youth and live music facilities. The City expects works to start no earlier than 2028.
